It smells delicious in the house. We have decided to celebrate Father’s Day a few days early since everyone will be home for dinner tonight. I am trying my hand at baking a Paleo quiche for dinner with an almond crust. The crust is made and I have bacon cooking in the oven. I made Paleo Pumpkin muffins for dessert before starting the bacon. The smells of bacon, cinnamon, and pumpkin are delicious! My mouth is watering….
My husband is a great encouragement to me. He is a gentle, loving man, and a hard worker. He cooks dinner when I am worn out. He rubs my achy feet at night. He has taken over the chore of laundry most weeks. He is truly my partner in marriage and in life.
He encourages me to blog and to take care of myself by eating healthy. He does not complain about new recipes. He willingly walks with me so I get my exercise. He is enjoyable company. I can not fathom life without this man – a gift from God.
He has been a great dad to our daughters. He loves them unconditionally, One of his biggest fears when we married was if he would be a good dad. His parents divorced when he was very young. He didn’t have many memories of his father. He has been a gentle father who seeks to encourage each of his daughters to love the Lord, work hard, and do what is right. I am eager to celebrate him with our daughters.
When I count my blessings he is pretty darn close to being one of my greatest blessings from God!
